Board Meeting Information
The agendas will be posted to the district website, ptschools.org, and the district's BoardDocs site, https://go.boarddocs.com/wa/ptsd/Board.nsf/, no less than 24 hours prior to the Board Meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Members of the public attending remotely who wish to offer public comment at the assigned time during the meeting may email their name, the topic they wish to address, and their phone number, if they plan to attend the meeting by telephone, to: [email protected]ptschools.org no later than 24 hours before the meeting..
The board chair will call upon each person wishing to make a comment. When called upon, individuals will be un-muted by the meeting moderator, state their name for the record and then present their comments, which are limited to 2 minutes per speaker.
The board chair will then ask if anyone else attending the meeting wishes to make a comment. Individuals attending by phone may press *9 on their telephone to raise their hand. Individuals attending by computer may select the Participant button on the bottom of the Zoom window and then select Raise Hand.
NOTE: The board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of involving members of the public in its meetings. We ask that any comment relating to an individual employee be given in the Executive Session of the Board, or to the Superintendent or appropriate administrator. It is our intent not to slander or allow suspicions to be cast on District employees during a public meeting, but that concerns regarding individuals be dealt with appropriately.
As per Policy 1620/1620P: "The board will listen to the information and opinions presented and through the superintendent, provide answers to questions, but is under no obligation to take action by audience request." Individuals not in attendance may not have someone else read their letter aloud to the board during Public Comments. However, such a letter may be given to the board for review. Please remember that we do not respond directly to public comments made at the meeting.
As per Policy 4218/4218P: "Upon three days' notice that such services are required, the District will provide interpretation services at public meetings organized or sponsored by the District (e.g. board meetings)."
